The 1928 Northern Alberta Railway Station with caboose and elevator are situated on main street Sexsmith, Alberta. In the early years, the Railway Station's upper floor was the living quarters for the station agents and their families. The NAR stationed was finally closed in the 1960's when the passenger and freight service were halted. In 1999 the Railway Station was designated a Provincial Site and was recently restored to that early 20's look. The elevator shown in the background burned down in January 2015. August 14th of 2024, a 1953 locomotive engine and a 1929 dinning car were added to the caboose at the train station on the main street of Sexsmith. The locomotive was 246,000 pounds and two large cranes were used to lift it up to place it down on the tracks.
