Fort St John in Grimshaw NPHL
The Fort John Flyers were back in Grimshaw to take on the Huskies for a make-up game (was to be played Nov 17 but postponed because of icy roads). Last night the Flyers went home with a 7-5 win, Tuesday January 22, 2019.

In the first period it was the Fort St John Flyers getting the jump as Rylan Sideroff got the first goal after 3:53, with Joey Massingham and Ryan Forbes setting up the play. Then Jaxon Glass gave the Flyers a 2-0 lead after 6:17, Brandon Pfeil and Robbie Sidhu assisting. Finally Ty Wiebe got the Huskies on the scoreboard after 10:58 (2-1) unassisted. No more goals were scored in the period and it ended with the Flyers having the slight lead 2-1. Shots on goal: visitors 11 - home 10. In goal for Flyers was Travis McLean and in goal for the Huskies was Alex Sawchuk (AP). There were 4 minor penalties called with each team getting 2. 

In the 2nd period the Flyers continued to fire on all cylinders as they got the next two goals. Clayton Bahm made it 3-1 Flyers after 6:20, Rylan Sideroff and Lien Miller-Jeannotte assisting. Jaxon Glass extended the lead it 4-1 scoring after 18:00, Brandon Pfeil and Lien Miller-Jeannotte getting the helpers. Shortly after that Corson Fairless snuck one in for the Huskies after 18:35, Bond Hawryluk and Clint Polukoshko assisting. No more goals were scored so the Flyers were now sitting on a 4-2 lead going to the dressing room. Shots on goal: visitors 17 - home 11. There were 5 minor penalties called with Grimshaw getting 3 of the 5 calls.

In the 3rd period the Huskies had their backs to the wall and knew they had to do something. Brendan Hawryluk stepped up the play and scored unassisted for the Huskies after 2:41 (4-3), Robbie Sidhu got that back for the Flyers (5-3) scoring after 5:02, with Joey Massingham and Jaxon Glass getting credit for the assists. Then it was Grimshaw turning it up again getting the next 2 goals. Bond Hawryluk scored (5-4) after 7:20 a powerplay goal with Brendan Hawryluk and Corson Fairless assisting. And before you knew it the game was tied 5-5 as Brendan Hawryluk got his 2nd of the night, unassisted at 9:35, another powerplay goal. The Huskies confidence was rattled when Ryan Forbes scored short handed after 12:41 that put the Flyers back in the lead 6-5. The Flyers would get one more for good measure after 13:29, as Jeff Shipton scored on the powerplay, Clayton Bahm and Rick Cleaver assisting. The game was over and the Flyers would win it 7-5. Shots on goal: visitors 7 - home 10. There were 5 minor penalties called with the Flyers in the box for 3 of them.
