Slam Dunk For The Pirates
The battle continued between High Prairie and Falher as the Regals were in the hunt for their first win of the season. Unfortunate for them the Pirates would win again 12-3, Thursday December 20, 2018.

In the first period the Regals had the jump start and scored at 16:22, as Mitch Price made his shot count, unassisted and short handed (1-0). And less than a minute later the Regals were leading 2-0 as Ira Gladue scored unassisted and short handed. Finally the Pirates stopped the Regals rush and Darren Kramer scored (2-1) at 10:35, assisted by Pat Rowan and Coltin Sandboe. Jeff Chalifoux gave the Pirates a tie (2-2) with 6:32 left in the period, assisted by Kevin Radford and Rollie Gladue. Then Darren Brochu scored at 5:52 to give the Pirates a 3-2 lead, assisted by Trevor Tokarz and Dan Aubin. Coltin Sandboe just took a long shot at the Regals net and it floated right in with 5:32 remaining (4-2), Darren Kramer and Pat Rowan got the assists. Pat Rowan gave the Pirates a 5-2 lead seconds later (5:10) with Darren Kramer and Dallas Brochu assisting on that one. The Regals didn’t give up and managed one final goal of the period with 1:17 left to play. Brandan McNabb scored on the powerplay, Chris LeGresley and Lawrence Anderson got the assists. So after 1 period the Pirates were leading 5-3. Shots on goal: visitors 7 - home 18. In goal for Regals was Matt MacMinn and in goal for the Pirates was Dyson Loewen. There were 5 minor penalties called with High Prairie getting 3 of the 5 calls. 

In the 2nd period the home crowd loved what they were seeing as the Pirates kept piling up the points. They scored 4 more times to make it difficult for the Regals to make a comeback. Pat Rowan scored at 6:48 (6-3) with Darren Brochu assisting. Next up Dallas Brochu scored 20 seconds later 6:28, (7-3) with Jeff Chalifoux assisting. Darren Kramer got his 2nd of the night with 4:55 to go with Pat Rowan and Dallas Brochu assisting. The final goal came with only 2:33 left in the period, Darren Kramer got his 3rd of the night, (9-3) a power play goal with Pat Rowan and Dan Aubin assisting. The period ended and the Pirates had the huge 9-3 lead. Shots on goal: visitors 10 - home 22. There were 9 calls with 5 against the Pirates. The only major came with about 5 minutes left in the period, Taylor Cote (Pirates) got a 10 minute misconduct.

In the 3rd period it was the Pirates in complete control of this game. They were able to handcuff the Regals and scored another 3 goals in the 3rd. Kevin Monfette scored with 5 minutes left in the game (10-3), a powerplay goal assisted by Darren Kramer and Dallas Brochu. Then Darren Brochu made it 11-3 with 3:55 left, assists to Jeff Chalifoux and Taylor Cote. The final goal was scored by Pat Rowan, his third of the night with 53 seconds left to play, (12-3) assisted by Darren Kramer and Dallas Brochu. The game was over and the Pirates sported a 12-3 victory. Shots on goal: visitors 10 - home 18. There was only 1 minor call and 10 minute misconduct and they both went to Brendan Cunningham of the Regals.
