The spring of 2018 will go on record as being one of the worst for flooding in the Peace Country. The warmer temperatures didn’t dome til mid April and it resulted in a rapid melt. Grande Prairie Muskoseepi park was closed as the Bear Creek overflowed its banks including the area around the Bear Creek Golf Course. There was flooding in the streets of Rycroft, Sexsmith, Hythe plus other areas. Many roads in rural areas were closed due to flooding. (photo: at Bear Creek Golf Course)
