Pemmican Days is a summertime tradition within the territory of Saulteau First Nations. The four-day-event feature games, crafts and sporting competitions along with the traditional community feast. New events this year will feature a French braid, traditional dress and beading competition, leg wrestling, the sling shot, ax throw and bow and arrow. Other events include a moccasin race, tea boiling, horseshoe throwing, bannock making and an endurance relay race featuring a runner, a motorcyclist, a kayaker and a horse rider. Location: on the territory of the Saulteau First Nations near Moberly Lake.

53rd Annual World's Invitational Gold Panning Championships. It is divided into three skills competitors (speed panning, skill panning and fine gold panning) the event will also feature activities for beginners and children. As part of the festivities a "Gold Panning Parade" will be held August 1st with Marshalling of the parade at 5pm at the District Ice Centre. Gold Panning Championships will be held at Peace Island Park, Taylor.
