ARCHIVED PHOTO: At the junction of Highway 49 and 2, stood a Giant Teepee for many years and became a recognizable landmark. It was originally erected for the purpose of a Tourist Information Centre and served that purpose for many years. Getting up close to the Teepee, you could see how big it is. It was located next to Alexander's Restaurant formerly known as Courtesy Corner.

In 2016 the County of Grande Prairie allocated $25,000 to the Teepee Creek Stampede Association to move and restore the Teepee. It is now located in Teepee Creek. Photo of the Teepee Creek version: VIEW PHOTO
