The Wop May Memorial Airport located 4.3km east-northeast of Fort Vermilion, along River Road. It is a single runway that is 1,219.2 metres long and 30.5 metres wide (4,000 ft x 100 ft). In 2018 the airport was named after Canadian Wop May a former bush pilot and WWI flying ace. In 1929 he flew to Fort Vermilion bringing with him life saving drugs that were badly needed.
